BASIC OPERATIONS ON DESKTOP

You can perform many tasks on the desktop, such as opening the context
menu,arranging icons, setting up a screen saver and more. Let's explore some of
these actions.

OPENING CONTEXT MENU

A Context menu is a small menu that appears when you right-
click on an icon, file, folder or the desktop. In Windows 11, it shows
fewer options at first. You can click Show more options or press
Shift + F10 to see the full, classic-style menu.

ARRANGING ICONS ON THE DESKTOP

Arranging icons on the desktop means organising how your shortcuts, files and
folders look on the screen. This makes it easier to find and use them.

In Windows 11, you can arrange icons in different ways:

Manually: Click and drag icons to place them wherever you like.

Automatically: To arrange icons automatically, follow the given steps:

2 Click on the View option
from the context menu.

3 Click on the Auto arrange
icons option from the sub-menu.

1 Right-click on the desktop.
