Breaking a big task into smaller steps makes it easier to complete without making

mistakes. In this chapter, you'll learn how to break tasks into simpler steps. You'll
also discover how to organise these steps using the SMART method and create fun

flow diagrams to show how everything gets done.

                          BREAKING TASKS INTO STEPS

Decomposition (dividing) means breaking up a big problem into smaller and simpler
tasks. This helps us to solve the problem one step at a time.

                  For example, Cleaning your Room

Break the big job of cleaning your room into smaller and simpler tasks:

                  1. Pick up toys.

                  2. Put away clothes.
                  3. Make the bed and vacuum the floor.
