HOW DOES SPRITE LAB WORK?
In Sprite Lab, you can create animations and simple games using visual coding
blocks. You will learn to control characters (sprites), add backgrounds and animate
movements.
The key features of Sprite Lab include:
Sprite Location: Control a sprite’s position using x, y coordinates or ‘go to’ blocks.
Appearance: Change sprite costumes and show or hide them.
Events: Trigger actions based on user interaction (e.g., clicks or touches).
Loops: Repeat actions continuously or for a set number of times.
Sound: Add sounds and adjust volume.
Variables: Store and manipulate data like scores or positions.
World: The environment where sprites interact, including the stage and
background.
WHAT ARE SPRITES?
A sprite is an animated character that can move, change and interact.
Adding and Customising Sprites
In Sprite Lab, you can:
Choose a sprite from the library.
Change its size, colour and direction.
Assign actions like movement and animations.
Backgrounds in Animation
Backgrounds set the scene for animations,
enhancing interactivity and appeal.
