STARTING EXCEL
To open Excel, follow the given steps:
2 Type Excel in the search bar.
3 Click on the Open button.
4 Click on the Blank workbook.
1 Click on the Start button.
A new empty workbook titled Book1 will open with a single worksheet named Sheet1.
A workbook in Excel is like a notebook that holds different pages called worksheets.
You can have multiple worksheets in one workbook to keep everything organised.
COMPONENTS OF EXCEL
The user interface of the Excel application window consists of various components.
Here are the descriptions of all these components.
Title Bar: Shows the name of the current workbook.
Quick Access Toolbar: A customisable toolbar with common commands like
Save, Undo and Redo.
Ribbon: A strip with tabs like Home, Insert, Page Layout and View each containing
related commands.
