As you have already learnt, a presentation consists of multiple slides. You are familiar with creating
presentations in PowerPoint. In this chapter, you will explore the advanced features of PowerPoint
to enhance your presentations and make them more dynamic and professional.
APPLYING ANIMATIONS
Animations are effects you can add to text, pictures or objects in a slide. They make presentations
engaging, highlight key points and can be timed to match the flow of your talk.
The animation effects in PowerPoint are grouped into four categories, which are:
Entrance: These animations control how
objects appear on the slide, such as fading in
or flying in from a direction, making the entry
visually engaging.
Emphasis: These animations highlight
objects already on the slide, such as making
them pulse, spin or grow, drawing attention
to them.
Exit: These animations dictate how objects
gradually leave the slide, like fading out or
being wiped off the screen, making objects
disappear smoothly.
Motion Paths: These animations let objects
move along a specific path, such as a straight
line or a custom route, adding dynamic
movement to the slide.
