PENCIL TOOL

The Pencil Tool in Illustrator is great for freehand drawing and making natural shapes easily. It is
faster than the Pen Tool for drawing curved lines and smooth paths. You can change the stroke
thickness, colour and style to match your design. The Pencil Tool is in the Toolbar. If you don’t see
it, press N to activate it.

Drawing a Simple Tree
To create a simple tree using a pencil tool, follow these steps:

Step 1 Select the Pencil Tool (N) from the toolbar.

Step 2 Draw the tree trunk by sketching a vertical shape.

Step 3 Select the trunk and colour it brown.

Step 4 Draw a tree shape (canopy) above the trunk.

Step 5 Select the tree shape and colour it green.

Step 6 Refine the shape using the Smooth Tool if needed.
Step 7 Save your drawing as AI, PNG or SVG.

Similarly, you can create different elements like mountains, clouds etc.

EXPORT VECTOR ARTWORK IN DESIRED FORMATS IN ILLUSTRATOR

You can export Vector Artwork created in Illustrator in your desired format by following the
given steps:

Step 1 Select the File Export option.

Step 2 Choose the desired format from the dropdown menu (e.g., PNG, JPEG, SVG, PDF, EPS).

Step 3 Select the save location.

Step 4 Click on the Save button to save the file.
