Merge Across: Merges cells in the selected rows
individually across multiple columns (only merges
within the rows).
When you merge two cells with
Merge Cells: Merges the selected cells without data, the content in the second
centering the content inside them. cell will be lost.
To merge cells, follow the given steps:
2 Click the Merge & Center down
arrow in the Alignment group.
3 Choose the desired
merge option.
1 Select two or more adjacent
cells that you want to merge.
You can also unmerge the cells at any time by selecting the merged cell and clicking the Unmerge
Cells option.
Create the given inventory details in an Excel worksheet.
Now, do the following tasks:
(a) Merge cells A1, B1 and C1.
(b) Apply bold formatting to the first and second rows.
