Picture an army of invisible digital assistants working tirelessly behind the scenes. How
would they transform the way offices, banks and companies operate?
QUANTUM COMPUTING
Quantum computing is a rapidly advancing field in computing
that leverages the principles of quantum mechanics to process
information in fundamentally new ways. Unlike classical
computers that use bits to represent data as 0s and 1s, quantum
computers use quantum bits or qubits, which can exist in QUANTUM
multiple states simultaneously. This unique property, known as
superposition, allows quantum computers to solve complex
problems much faster than classical computers.
TECH
T ¢ Encryption: A method of protecting data by converting it into a code that can only be read
E with a key.
R
M Latency: The time delay between sending and receiving data across a network.
S ¢
Prosthetics: Artificial body parts created with technology, often customised using
¢
3D printing.
REWIND RUN
« The Internet of Things or IoT, is a system that connects everyday objects to the Internet.
« Robotics is the field of designing and building robots, which are machines that can perform tasks either
independently or with assistance from humans.
« A blockchain is a decentralised and distributed digital ledger technology (a special type of digital
record-keeping system) that stores information in blocks.
« Bioinformatics is a multidisciplinary field that combines biology, computer science and information
technology to analyse and interpret biological data.
« Cloud computing refers to the use of computing services—such as storage, processing power and
software—available over the Internet.
