Area Chart

An area chart is similar to a line chart, but the area beneath the line
is filled with colour. It emphasises the volume of data and is useful
for showing trends and magnitudes of change over time.

                 Pie Chart

A pie chart represents data as slices of a circle, with each slice
corresponding to a part of the whole. It’s best used for showing
relative proportions and percentages of a single data series.

                                                Scatter Chart
A scatter chart plots individual data points on a two-dimensional

grid, helping to visualise the relationship between two variables.
It’s commonly used for correlation analysis and spotting patterns
                                                or outliers in data.

Create a shopping list in Excel, including the quantity and price per item. After creating the list:
                   (a) Calculate the total cost for each item on the shopping list (Quantity * Price).

                   (b) Use the average function to find the average cost of the items on the list.

                   (c) Create a bar chart to represent the proportion of the total cost for each item and analyse
which item has the highest cost.

                     1. Charts are powerful tools that help you visually represent data.

                     2. The legend is a key that displays the symbols or colours used in the chart.

                        USING SPARKLINES

Sparklines allow you to create mini charts within a cell to visually represent data. This helps you
quickly spot patterns, variations and insights without taking up much space.
