THE WORLD OF WEBSITES
A website is a place on the Internet where information, pictures, games and
videos can be found. It is like a digital book or a store that can be visited using
a computer or tablet. Each website offers different things to explore, such as fun
games, stories, videos and learning opportunities.
“When you watch a video on YouTube Kids or play puzzles on
ABCya, you are on a website.”
Visiting a Website
Just like people have names to be called, each website has its own name.
This is called a web address. To visit a website, type its name in the search bar
and press the Enter key. It tells the computer exactly where to go to find the
website, just like your friend uses your home
address to find you.
