LINKS AND POP-UPS
A link is like a doorway on the Internet that takes you to a new place when you click
on it.
When you click on something blue and underlined on a
website, that is a link.
When you click on it, it takes you to another
page or website.
Sometimes, these links are helpful, like when
your teacher shares one. But sometimes, links
can be traps made by people who want to steal
your data.
They can be used for many things, like opening a video or reading a story.
Links are very important for moving around the Internet because they connect all
the different pages and websites together, almost like a map.
Always ask an adult
before clicking on a
link to make sure it
is safe.
