You have the right to say or to how your information is used.
Keeping your personal data safe online is important for everyone. Some simple
ways to do are as follows:
Your own photos: If a friend takes a photo of you and they want to post it online,
they must ask your permission first. If you say no, they must respect your
decision.
Family posts: Even if your parents post your photos, they
should respect your feelings. If you are old enough to
understand, you can gently tell them, “Please do not share
that picture of me online.”
App permissions: When a new app asks for permission to
use your camera, microphone or location, STOP and THINK.
Example: A drawing app does not need to know your location. Why would it ask? It
is often trying to collect more data about you. If an app asks for permission, it does
not need, say NO or ask a parent before saying yes.
