ideas that work together to make our daily life exciting.

Smart Devices Around Us

A smart device is a device that can collect, process and send data. It can be found
in our homes, schools and even outside. They make life more convenient, exciting

and sometimes more colourful. Some smart devices that we see around us every
day includes:

Smartphones: Smartphones are mobile phones that
can perform many functions. You can make calls, send

messages, take photos, play games and use apps. They
are like small, pocket versions of a computer.

Tablets: Tablets are larger than smartphones, but
smaller than laptops. They have a big touchscreen that
allows reading, drawing and watching videos easy.

Tablets are light and easy to carry, so we can use them
anywhere.

Smart thermostats: Smart thermostats help control the
temperature in our homes. They can turn the heating or

cooling on and off at the right time to save energy. Some
smart thermostats can even learn our daily routine, like
when we wake up or go to school and adjust the temperature

automatically.
