Software updates: Devices get updates to fix problems
and stay safe. Installing updates helps your device work

properly and protects it from hackers.

Antivirus and anti-malware: These are special programs

that stop viruses and harmful software from making your
device sick, just like medicine keeps us healthy.

Screen lock: A screen lock keeps your device safe when
you are not using it. It can be a pattern, password, PIN or

even a fingerprint.

Safe downloads: Download apps or files only from

trusted places. Bad apps can steal information or break
your device.

Backing up data: Saving copies of your important files
and photos helps you get them back if your device stops

working or gets lost.
