How to Avoid Online Scams
To avoid falling victim to online scams, consider these safety tips:
Be sceptical of unsolicited messages: Don’t
trust messages or emails from unknown senders,
especially if they ask for personal details or
money. Before you click, post
Check website URLs: Before entering personal or share online, ask
information, ensure the website is legitimate by yourself: Is this safe?
checking its URL. Is this real?
Verify offers: Always verify prizes, deals or job
offers before sharing personal information.
Use secure payment methods: When shopping
or investing online, ensure you are using secure and trusted payment methods.
Consult a trusted adult: If unsure about a message, offer or website, always
consult a parent, teacher or another trusted adult before proceeding.
