To review app permissions, go to your device’s Settings. Depending on your device,
find the Apps section. There, you will see a list of installed apps. Select an app and
click on Permissions to view its permissions.
You can see the different permissions that are allowed in the Allowed section
and those that are denied in the Not allowed section. If you notice an app using
unnecessary permissions, click on that permission and select the Don't allow button
to disable it.
Setting Permissions for New Apps
When using an app for the first time, you might see different permission options on
your mobile device.
The following explains what each option means:
While using the app: Access is granted only when the
app is actively in use (i.e., when the app is open and on
screen).
Only this time: The app is granted permission for a
one-time use and the permission will be revoked once
you close the app.
Dont allow: The app is denied access to the requested
feature.
Always review what the app is asking for before granting access to sensitive
information such as contacts, messages or location.
