Review app permissions after updates: Sometimes, app updates may change
the permissions they require. After an update, check to see if the app is now
requesting access to features it didn’t need before.
Uninstall unused apps: If you no longer use an app, uninstall it completely. This
ensures that it cannot request or retain permissions, protecting your privacy
and keeping your device clean.
Investigate any suspicious behaviour: If an app starts draining your battery
quickly, sending unexpected notifications or causing slow performance,
investigate whether it has been granted excessive permissions.
Choose trusted app sources: Download apps only from official app stores like
Google Play or the Apple App Store. Apps from unofficial sources may pose
security risks or request unnecessary permissions.
Disable permissions for background apps: Some apps run in the background
and continue to access permissions even when you’re not using them. Regularly
check these apps and disable any permissions that aren’t necessary for their
function.
