Dealing with a Stolen Password

If your password is stolen, acting quickly can help protect your accounts. Here are
                 some steps to take:

Change the password immediately: Create a new, strong password to block
unauthorised access. This will stop the attacker from continuing to use your
                     account.

Secure connected accounts: If you’ve used the same password across multiple
accounts, update those as well to prevent the breach from spreading.

Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Turn on 2FA for an added layer of

security. Even if the attacker has your password, they won’t be able to access
your account without the second factor.
Check recent activity: Review your account for any suspicious activity, such

as unfamiliar logins or actions. If you notice anything unusual, report it to the
                     platform immediately.

Inform the service provider: Contact the service provider or platform where
your password was stolen. Most companies can help you secure your account
                     and investigate the breach.

Around 80% of data breaches result from weak or stolen passwords compromising
                    security.
