Signs of a Hacked Account

When something is wrong with online account, device often gives clues. These clues
can help spot if someone else has entered the account without permission. Paying

attention to early signs can stop the problem from getting worse and help you stay
safe online.

Hackers sometimes gain access to accounts to send messages, steal information,
or misuse personal data. If you observe unusual activities in your account, it may

mean that someone else is using it without your knowledge. Recognising these
warning signs early can help you protect your account and take action quickly.

Here are a few signs that something might be wrong with your account:

You notice messages or posts
you didn’t write.

You can’t log into your account
or it behaves strangely.

Your friends say they received
strange messages from you.

You receive strange emails
or texts about your account
activity.

Your password stops working
or has changed without your
permission.

If you see any of these signs, your account may have been hacked and you should
take action right away.
