Public Wi-Fi

Public Wi-Fi is the opposite of private Wi-Fi. It is like an open park with
no fences or locks. These networks are accessible in busy places around
the world, such as railway stations (like RailWire Wi-Fi), airports, cafes,

shopping malls and libraries. Public Wi-Fi is usually free and may not need
a password or the password may be shared with everyone. This makes it
unsafe because someone nearby could try to see the information you send
online, just like someone reading your diary if you leave it open on a bench.

                    The latest Wi-Fi technology in 2025 is Wi-Fi 7, with a significant 2025 launch being the "Wi-Fi 7
Advanced Technology White Paper," released in August 2025 by Huawei, IEEE and other industry
                    pioneers.

                 Virtual Private Network (VPN)

A VPN (Virtual Private Network) adds extra safety when you are using the Internet. It is like a
secret tunnel for your data. When a VPN is turned on, everything you send and receive is protected
inside this tunnel, so others cannot spy on it.

                                       Identifiable IP and Encrypted data
data not encrypted and hidden IP

                          Your device VPN Internet
For example, if you use free Wi-Fi at an airport, a hacker could try to see what you are doing

online. But if you are connected through a VPN, your data becomes scrambled (encrypted) and
your device’s IP address stays hidden. Many companies use VPNs so their employees can work
                 safely from home.
