Effects of Cyberbullying
Cyberbullying can affect a person in many ways, both emotionally and physically. Some common
effects of cyberbullying are as follows:
Emotional impact: Cyberbullying can make a person feel extremely
sad, worried or angry, often leaving them anxious and upset for
long periods, affecting their mood and making it difficult to enjoy
normal day-to-day activities.
Loss of confidence: When someone is bullied online, they may
begin to doubt themselves, feel insecure or believe they are
worthless, which can lower self-esteem and make them hesitant
to participate in school, sports or social events.
Fear of online activity: Victims of cyberbullying often become
scared to use social media, gaming platforms or messaging
apps, avoiding these activities entirely in order to escape
harmful messages, comments or unwanted attention online.
Problems at school: Being bullied online can cause
students to lose focus in class, feel nervous around
classmates, skip school or find it difficult to make friends,
This can affect their studies and relationships with others.
