represents a person in the online world. It’s like an
online version of yourself, created through the things
you share and interact with on the Internet. Your digital
identity is shaped by the profiles you create on websites;
the posts you share on social media and the content
you engage with.
For example, when you sign up for a website or social
media platform, you often provide personal information like your name, photo and preferences.
These details become part of your digital identity.
How Digital Identity is Created?
Digital identity begins the moment an individual starts interacting with the digital world. It is
shaped by several key components that come together to form a complete picture of who they
are online:
Every time an account is created on a website or
app, it adds to a person’s digital identity. Whether it’s

Instagram and X, each contributing to their digital identities.
