Aanya was one of the toppers of her class and known for her neat notes and disciplined work. With
the final exams approaching, she decided to create a digital revision guide—summaries, diagrams,
charts and formulas—stored neatly in a folder on her laptop. She saved everything only in one place:
                  Documents ExamPrep2026.

One evening, she received a message on a class group from a silent classmate.
Raghav: “Aanya, your maths summary is amazing! Thanks for posting it .”

Aanya was stunned. She had NEVER posted her maths summary anywhere.
“How does he have it?” she whispered. Before she could think further, three more students replied:
                  “Yes, notes are super helpful!”

                  “Thanks Aanya!”
Aanya felt her stomach twist. Someone had taken her private work and posted it without permission.
Next, Aanya opened Instagram to distract herself. A notification flashed:

“@StudyGenius tagged you in a post.”

The page posted “FREE TOPPERS’ NOTES!” and her diagrams were in the pictures. Her name was not
given, but the handwriting was clearly hers. Not only that—the page caption read:
“Get full notes—click the link below!”

                  The link looked suspicious: bitstudy-fastnotes.freeupdate.info
Aanya checked the followers of the StudyGenius account. Three usernames made her pause. They
looked like her classmates—but spelled slightly wrong, like someone had made duplicate accounts. The
next day, Aanya received an email:

Subject: “Important: Issue With Your Google Storage”
                  Sender: googleservices.verify123@mail-support.com

                  It read:
“Your Google Drive is full. Click here to download your files before they are deleted.”

                  A ZIP file was attached.
Aanya knew that her Google Drive was hardly 20% full. Something felt off. Things got worse when she
saw a post on a private meme page used by some seniors:

“Some people think they are too smart. But their secrets are not safe anymore .”
