In reality, Incognito mode only prevents information from being saved on the device itself. It stops
others who use the same computer from seeing browsing history, cookies and saved passwords, but
it does not erase activity from the Internet. Websites, service providers and network administrators
can still track what was done online. Logging into any account in this mode immediately links the
activity to a person’s identity. If something is posted, shared or downloaded, it still becomes part

of the digital world. Incognito mode offers local convenience, not full privacy and it does not stop
a digital footprint from being created.
Therefore, even when using Incognito mode or InPrivate window it is essential to remain cautious.
The Internet can still record actions, so it’s important to think before posting, sharing or downloading

                  anything.

Open your browser in Incognito Mode and visit three different websites, like a news site, a shopping
site and a weather site. After you close the Incognito window, check your regular browser’s history and
cookies to see what information is saved. Write a note about what you found. Think about how Incognito
Mode is different from regular browsing and how websites track what you do online.
