                  For each of the following cyberbullying situations, write down the best course of action using the STOP,
                  BLOCK and TELL rule. One has been done for you.

                  Example: Someone is spreading a rumour about you in an online game.
                  Answer: Stop and do not respond. Block the bully if possible. Save evidence by taking a screenshot. Tell a
                  trusted adult.
                  1.   You receive a mean message from an unknown number. What do you do?



                  2.   A friend shares an embarrassing photo of another student online. What do you do?


                  3.    A classmate posts a poll on social media asking people to vote on the “ugliest” person in your class and
                     it is gaining a lot of votes. What do you do?




                  4.    You are in a group chat and one friend starts making fun of another friend who is not in the chat. What
                     do you do?




                  5.    A friend sends you a private, mean message about another student and tells you not to tell anyone.

                  THE HARMFUL EFFECTS OF CYBERBULLYING

                  Cyberbullying can have serious and long-lasting effects
                  on the victim. Here are some of the ways it can harm:

                      Emotional distress: Victims may experience feelings
                     of sadness, anxiety and depression due to the constant
                     online attacks. This can affect their self-esteem and
                     mental health.
