The following image shows setting your Instagram account to private.
Secure your accounts: Use strong, unique passwords for all
your accounts and turn on Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
whenever possible. This ensures that even if someone
guesses your password, they cannot log in without the
second code. Never share your passwords with friends. A
secure account makes it harder for bullies to hack or
impersonate you.
Think
Before you post Think before you post: Once something is shared
T is it TRUE? online, it’s hard to completely erase it. Before posting
H is it HELPFUL? photos, jokes or personal information, take a moment
I is it INSPIRING? to think: “Could this be used the wrong way or cause
N is it NECESSARY? misunderstandings?” Being careful about what you share
K is it KIND? online helps protect your digital footprint and reduces the
chance of giving bullies anything to use against you.
Do not support others’ bullying: Even if you’re not the one
bullying, liking, sharing or laughing at hurtful posts still makes
you part of the problem. Instead, report harmful content, stand
by the person being targeted and spread kindness online. By
speaking out against bullying, you help create a safer online
space for everyone.
