71% of individuals sleep with or next to their mobile phones, contributing to disrupted sleep patterns.
“Although social media addiction can feel overwhelming, it is manageable.
People can regain control of their lives and lower their stress levels by
implementing easy social media detoxification techniques”
SOCIAL MEDIA DETOX
Spending too much time on social media can affect your
studies, health and confidence. To overcome this, many young
people are now trying a social media detox. This means taking
a planned break from apps and online platforms to refresh
both the mind and body.
Follow these steps to take a break from social media:
Choose a specific day and time to stay away from social
media. It could be one evening after school or a few hours
on the weekend.
Disable notifications or keep the phone in another room to
reduce the temptation to check it constantly. This helps in
staying focused on other tasks.
During detox, try replacing social media time with other
activities, like reading, exercising or spending time with
family and friends.
After the detox you will feel
more relaxed and will be
able to focus better.
Use a real alarm clock
to avoid checking
your phone first thing
in the morning.
