                                                THE RISKS OF OVERSHARING ONLINE
Vihaan always dreamed of becoming popular online. One day, he saw a post from a well-known
influencer announcing a “Mega Gift Contest,” with a brand-new gaming console as the prize. The
instructions for entering were simple: participants had to post a picture of an item they owned, tag
the influencer, use special hashtags and get more likes.
Excited about the possibility of winning, Vihaan decided to enter. He clicked a photo of his new
birthday watch in his room, not realising that the street name was visible through his window and his
school logo appeared on his uniform in the background. To get more likes, he set the post to Public,
just like everyone else in the contest was instructed to do.
