THREATS IN EMAIL AND MESSAGING

Digital communication is a great way to stay connected with friends, family and school, but it can

also expose you to different risks. Some messages may look safe on the outside but may contain
tricks or harmful content inside. To stay protected online, it is important to recognise what these
                  dangers look like.

There are several common tricks, people try to pull on you through email and messages:

                                                            Phishing Emails

                               Stranger Suspicious
                              Messages Attachments

                  Phishing Emails

Phishing emails are fake messages sent by scammers pretending to be trusted companies such
as banks, gaming websites or even your school. These emails are designed to look real so that
you believe them. Their aim is to trick you into sharing private information, such as passwords,
OTPs (One-Time Passwords) or important personal details. These scammers often create a sense

of urgency to make you act quickly. They may warn that your account will close or offer rewards
that seem too good to be true. Always pause and check carefully before clicking anything.
