                    learned to improve knowledge.

                 DIGITAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital Responsibilities guide us on how we should act while using digital technology. They help us
protect ourselves, respect others, and use the Internet in a safe and meaningful way.

Digital Responsibilities are the duties and correct behaviours that every user must follow when
they use the Internet, computers, apps, or any digital device. They help to ensure that the digital
world remains safe, respectful, and fair for everyone.

Just like we have responsibilities at home or in school—such as following rules, helping others, or
keeping our surroundings clean—we also have responsibilities in the digital world.
These responsibilities teach us how to:

                     Behave online

                     Protect our information
                     Avoid harming others

                     Follow laws and rules

Use technology in a positive way

                 Importance of Digital Responsibilities

Digital responsibilities are important due to the following reasons:

Keep us safe online: By not sharing private information, using strong passwords, and avoiding
unsafe websites, we protect ourselves from hackers, cyberbullies, and scammers.
Protect others: We must not spread false information, send hurtful messages, or share
                    someone’s photos without permission.

Maintain a positive online environment: Good behaviour online encourages trust, respect,
                    and healthy communication between users.
Prevent misuse of technology: Using technology carefully ensures that devices, data, and
                    networks remain secure.

Help us become responsible digital citizens: They prepare us to become mature, aware, and
                    respectful users of digital technology.
