"Just like we lock our homes to keep thieves out, we must also lock and guard
our digital world."
PROTECTION AGAINST CYBER ATTACKS
Protection against cyber attacks refers to methods, tools, and practices that safeguard digital
devices, networks, data, and online services from unauthorised access, misuse, damage, or
disruption. Technology has become an essential part of personal, educational, and professional
life, so the importance of cyber protection has increased significantly.
Cyber attackers use various techniques such as malware, phishing, ransomware, and social
engineering to exploit weaknesses in systems. Strong security measures are required to maintain
safety, trust, and reliability in the digital environment.
Cyber attacks may sound scary, but the good news is that we can protect ourselves by following
some simple safety steps. Let us understand these one by one.
Use strong passwords: Passwords must be long
and include letters, numbers, and symbols. Simple
passwords such as 12345 or a personal name should
be avoided. Passwords must be changed at regular
intervals to maintain security.
For example, instead of writing rahul123, a stronger
option would be R@hul#2009.
? ? ? Do not share personal information: Personal information
must never be shared with strangers. Details such as
Aadhaar number, passwords, phone number, or OTP must
remain private. Extra care is required while filling online
forms or selecting links. Personal information on social
media should be limited, as too much detail can create
NO DATA
security risks. Any message that appears suspicious must
be ignored or deleted to prevent possible harm.
