Report problems quickly: Any incident of a cyber attack must be reported immediately to
a responsible adult, such as parents or teachers. In serious cases, contacting the National
Cyber Crime Helpline (1930) is essential. Prompt reporting helps prevent further damage and
protects personal information. Quick action also allows authorities to investigate and take
necessary steps to secure devices and accounts. Early reporting reduces the risk of the attack
spreading to others.
"By following these steps, students can stay safe, protect their data, and enjoy
the benefits of the Internet without fear."
Keep an offline backup of important documents so that even if the system is attacked,
encrypted, or becomes inaccessible, the data can still be restored safely without paying a
ransom or depending on compromised devices.
