FUTURE OF PASSWORDS

The passwords used today, even the strong ones, require effort to create, remember, and type.

This is why technology is moving toward a future where typing passwords may not be necessary
at all. The aim is to make digital security easier, faster, and far more secure.

Biometrics: One of the most popular and rapidly growing methods of authentication is
biometrics. This involves using a part of the body to verify identity. It can include:
                         Fingerprints

                         Facial pattern

                         Retina or iris scans
                         Voice recognition

Biometrics are commonly seen in smartphones when fingerprint sensors or face unlock
features are used. These methods are difficult for attackers to copy because they depend on
                    unique biological features.

Passwordless login: Major technology companies such as Microsoft, Google, and Apple are
developing complete passwordless login systems. The goal is to allow access to accounts
                    without typing a password.
Instead of entering combinations of letters and numbers, methods such as these may be used:

A security key (like a USB key) that plugs into a device.

A passkey stored securely on a phone or laptop.
