Video Editing Basics: Splitting, Trimming and Add Transitions

The first step in creating a video in Canva is editing, which begins after uploading your media files. Canva
offers flexible video editing options. You can split a large clip into smaller sections, merge multiple clips into
one, trim the beginning or end of a clip, and even create new clips from existing ones.

              Splitting a Video
Splitting a video means cutting one video clip into two or more separate parts. This helps if you want to
remove unwanted bits, rearrange parts, or add different effects to each section.
Follow these steps to split a video:

Step 1 Click on the video clip in the timeline to select it.
Click on the video in the timeline to move the playhead to the exact spot where you want
                  Step 2
                           to split the video.

Step 3 Right-click on the video. A context menu will appear.
Step 4 Select the Split page option from the context menu.

Your video is now split into two separate clips. You can edit or move each
              part independently.
