l List All Areas and Facilities: Make a comprehensive list of all the areas and facilities in the
Taj Mahal complex, such as:
° Main Entrance ° Ticket Counter ° Security Checkpoints
° Gardens (Charbagh) ° The Main Mausoleum ° Mosque
° Guest House ° Viewing Platforms ° Restrooms
° Souvenir Shops ° Cafeteria ° Water Fountains
° Parking Area ° Information Kiosks
2. Students can form groups and each group can select at least 3 different areas from the list to
design signage for.
3. Brainstorm on how to represent each area so that it can be easily identified and is interesting to
look at. Think about the use of culturally relevant icons, colours, shapes, and illustrations that
relate to each area. You can also incorporate elements inspired by Mughal architecture, floral
motifs, and calligraphy in your signage system.
4. You may create multiple designs for each area’s signage and select the best design in the end.
5. Create detailed drawings or illustrations of the chosen signage designs. Use colours, text, and
directional arrows to make the signs clear and attractive.
