Another important method of communication is visual communication, which involves sending and
understanding the message through images or pictures alone. The main advantage of this type of
communication is that you don't need to know a particular language to understand it. It's simple, easy to
understand and stays the same in different locations. Examples of visual communication include charts &
graphs, signs, movies, etc.

Advantages of Visual Communication
• Visual information immediately catches attention of audience.
• Visual communication increases the credibility of the message since “seeing is believing.”
• Visual communication is free from language and cultural barriers. Therefore, it is effective for a diverse
audience.
• Visual communication is easy to interpret and present since the pictorial data representation is easy to
convey.

Disadvantages of Visual Communication
Some of the disadvantages of visual communication are:
• Methods of communication are costly.
• Sometime visual presentation of information becomes complex.

• This method of communication is considered as an incomplete method.
