challenge, choices, chance and change.
¾ Games can be broadly classified as abstract games, iconic, incoherent world games and coherent games.
¾ Serious games are designed not just for fun but also to achieve specific learning or problem-solving
outcomes while maintaining their playful essence.
¾ Creating a game involves several structured steps to ensure it is engaging and aligns with the intended
audience’s preferences.
¾ By integrating traditional Indian elements with modern design principles, games can offer a meaningful
and engaging experience while preserving and celebrating cultural heritage.
¾ India has a rich tradition of games, many of which emphasize strategy, teamwork, and cultural heritage.
¾ A toy is an object that is used for playing.
¾ Toys play an important role in a child’s development and promote learning, creativity, and social
engagement while addressing unique developmental needs.
¾ There are various types of toys – sensory, cognitive, social toys and physical toys
¾ The design of the each type of toys should emphasize affordability, sustainability and should incorporate
cultural depiction.
¾ By combining traditional elements with modern design principles, we can create engaging, inclusive,
and sustainable toys for diverse audiences.
¾ A digital game is an interactive activity performed on electronic devices such as computers, consoles,
mobiles, or virtual reality systems.
¾ Digital gaming is not only fun; it also offers educational and developmental benefits.
¾ India’s growing digital landscape has led to the rise of gaming as a hobby and profession.
