Introduction
Have you ever opened your bagpack only to find your charger cable tangled with your earphones or your
power bank scratched? Everyday annoyances like these can lead to damaged devices, lost accessories, or
unnecessary stress. Through the Capstone Design Project, you can use your creativity and problem-solving
skills to design a solution that actually makes life easier.
What is a Capstone Project?
A capstone project is a final, hands-on assignment that students complete at the end of a course, subject, or
academic program. It allows them to apply what they have learned to a real-world problem or meaningful
challenge.
Key Features of a Capstone Project:
• Integrates knowledge and skills learned throughout the course.
• Focuses on solving a real-life problem or designing a practical solution.
• Usually involves research, planning, designing, testing, and presenting the final outcome.
• Can be done individually or in a group.
This project is your opportunity to apply the full design thinking process to solve a real-world problem. You can
work individually or in a group to identify a problem, empathize with users, generate ideas, build prototypes,
test them, and present your solution.
