Spreadsheet software are commonly used for keeping data, displaying organised data, generating results,
planning budgets, making annual reports of business organisations, generating salary statements, doing
tax calculations, etc. There are numerous spreadsheets available that have been developed by various
companies. Some of the most popular ones are listed here.

We will be learning how to utilise LibreOffice Calc in this unit. The majority of functionalities in different
spreadsheets are the same.
Starting LibreOffice Calc
Following the given steps to create a spreadsheet using LibreOffice 2
Calc:
Step 1 Click on the Start button. The Start menu will appear. 3
Step 2 Select the LibreOffice folder from the Start menu.
Click on the LibreOffice Calc option.
Or
Step 3
To start LibreOffice Calc, Double-click on the icon
LibreOffice Calc on the desktop screen.

Title Bar
It lies at the top of the window screen. It displays the name of the active spreadsheet. When the spreadsheet
is newly created, by default it is named as Untitled1, second is Untitled2 and so on.
