A new spreadsheet displaying the active Sheet1 appears on the screen with cell A1 as the active cell. The
shortcut to open a new Calc document with a default blank spreadsheet is Ctrl + N.

Closing a Workbook and Exiting from Calc
Perform the following steps to close a workbook and exit from Calc:

Step 1 Select File Close option from the menu bar. The current workbook will close.
Step 2 Select File Exit LibreOffice option from the menu bar. The LibreOffice Calc window will exit.

Opening an Existing Spreadsheet

To open an existing spreadsheet, follow the given steps:
Step 1 Click on the File menu from Menu bar.
Step 2 Select the Open option from the drop-down menu.

OR
Click on the Open button on the Standard toolbar.
The Open dialog box appears on the screen.
