Auto Fill
It is a feature in the spreadsheet package like LibreOffice Calc in which a certain kind of predefined series
of data such as name of months of a year, serial numbers, etc., are automatically generated once the user
feeds the initial data.
Copying and Moving Formula
To apply the same formula across multiple cells in rows or columns, you don’t need to re-enter it for each cell.
Instead, you can copy the formula to other cells, which saves time and effort, especially with long or complex
formulas, and minimises the risk of errors.
(i) Use of Copy and Paste Commands for Copying Formula
(ii) Use of Cut and Paste Commands for moving Formula
Step 1 Select the cell with the Formula you want to copy.
Step 2 Click on the Copy/Cut button from the Standard toolbar.
OR
Press Ctrl + C to copy the formula.
Press Ctrl + X to move the formula.
Step 3 Select the destination cell where you want to paste the formula.
Step 4 Click on the Paste button from the Standard toolbar.
OR
Press Ctrl + V to paste the formula.
Similarly, you can apply the same copy and paste formula in the cell D3 and E3.
Using the Fill Handle
The fill handle is the small black square located in the bottom-right corner of a selected cell or range. It can
be used to quickly extend data or formulas into adjacent cells.
(i) Use of Fill Handle for Copying Formulae
Step 1 Enter a formula in a cell. In our case, we have inserted the formula(=A2*B2) in cell C2.
Select the cell C2 and click on the small square (fill handle) at the bottom-right corner of the
Step 2
