Saving a Presentation in Default Format
By default, the presentation is saved with the .odp extension. The steps to save a presentation in default
format are as follows:
Step 1 Click on the File menu from the Menu bar. A drop-down menu appears.
Step 2 Select the Save option.
OR
Click on the Save button on the Standard toolbar.
This will open the Save As dialog box.
Step 3 Navigate the location where you want to save the presentation.
Step 4 Type the name of your file in the File name text box.
Step 5 Click on the Save button.
The presentation will be saved with the specified name.
Saving a Presentation with a Different Format
The steps to save a presentation with a different format are as follows:
Step 1 Click on the File menu from the Menu bar. A drop-down menu appears.
Step 2 Select the Save As option.
This will open the Save As dialog box.
Step 3 Navigate the location where you want to save the presentation.
Step 4 Type the name of your file in the File name text box.
Select the desired format in which you want to save the presentation from the Save as type

drop-down list. In our case, we have selected the PowerPoint 97-2003 format.
