Assertion Reason Type Questions

A statement of assertion (A) is followed by a statement of reason (R). Choose the correct option out of the
choices given below for each question:

                    (a) Both A and R are true and R is the correct explanation of A.
                    (b) Both A and R are true but R is not the correct explanation of A.

                    (c) A is true but R is false.
                    (d) A is false but R is true.

                    1. Assertion (A): In a column bar graph, the height of the column represents the frequency of an
                       observation.
Reason (R): In raw data, each numerical value is called an observation.
                    2.  Assertion (A):     ||| indicates a frequency of 13.

                       Reason (R): indicates a frequency of 5.

Now, observe the given bar graph and answer the following:

                    3. Assertion (A): The highest number of runs was scored by Sachin.

Reason (R): The bar corresponding to Sachin is the tallest.
                    4. Assertion (A): The least number of runs was scored by Ashish.

Reason (R): The bar corresponding to Ashish is the shortest.
                    5. Assertion (A): Shubman has scored 90 runs.
Reason (R): Rahul has scored 210 runs.

                    6. Assertion (A): Veru scored more runs than Shubman.
Reason (R): Veru scored 75 runs.
