3. Is it possible to construct a 4-sided figure in which—

                      • all the angles are equal to 90º but
                      • opposite sides are not equal? (NCERT)
                4. Construct the adjoining picture. Choose the measurements of your choice.
Note that the larger 4-sided figure is a square, and so are the smaller ones.
                                                                                    (NCERT)
(Hint: For construction purposes, take the outer square with side length 8
cm. Then the larger four-sided inner square will have a side length of 4 cm,
and all the smaller ones will have a side length of 2 cm.)

                5. Construct a rectangle in which one of the diagonals divides the opposite
                    angles into 50° and 40°.
                    (Hint: see construction 7) (NCERT)
                6. Construct a rectangle one of whose sides is 4 cm and the diagonal is of length 8 cm. (NCERT)
                    (Hint: see construction 8)

                7. Construct a rectangle one of whose sides is 3 cm and the diagonal is of length 7 cm. (NCERT)
                    (Hint: see construction 8)
                8. Divide a line segment AB into 4 equal parts using a ruler and compass.

(Hint: see construction 4, use it three times)
                9. Draw two circles of radii 3 cm and 5 cm such that they touch each other externally. Measure the
distance between their centres. Is it related to the radii of circles?
There are four options (Q. 10 to Q. 14), out of which only one is correct. Choose the correct option.

                10. The instrument used to measure an angle is a

                13. In the construction of the artwork ‘Eyes’, which of the following was not used?

                    (a) Ruler (b) Protractor (c) Pencil (d) Compass
                14. Which of the following is not a name of the square in the adjoining figure? S P

                    (a) The common properties of the two set-squares of a geometry box are that they have
