              Adding A 2-digit And A 1-digit numbers

example 1: Sumona has 24 hair clips. She got 5 more. How many hair clips does
              Sumona have now?

Solution: To know the total number of hair clips, we need to add 24 and 5.

Step 1. Add the ones first. Step 2. Add the tens next.

                           Tens Ones Tens Ones

                             2 4 2 4

                        + 5 + 5

                                   9 + 2 9

Thus, Sumona has 29 hair clips now.

example 2: Add 50 and 4. Knowledge Desk Creative Thinking
