Mona has 5 apples. She ate nothing. Think about subtracting 0 from
any number. Which of these is

Clearly, 5. (a) The answer becomes zero.
(b) The answer becomes 1.
So, 5 – 0 = 5. (c) The number remains the same.

Similarly, we have 6 – 0 = 6, 4 – 0 = 4 and so on. (d) The number becomes double.
