A number fact is a simple statement made up of
three different numbers. for example, 4 + 3 = 7
is a number fact.
Here, the three numbers used are 4, 3 and 7.
Latika: Add 4 and 5 in any order, the answer will
be the same. 4 + 5 = 9 same answer
or 5 + 4 = 9
Shreyas: We can have two subtraction facts for the above addition facts as
9 – 5 = 4 and 9 – 4 = 5
Mayank: The relationship between addition and subtraction is beautiful.
For each addition fact, there are two subtraction facts.
