The numbers such as first, second,
third, ... which tell us the position of
an object in a collection, are called
ordinal numbers. 1st 3rd 5th 7th 9th 10th
(first) (third) (fifth) (seventh) (ninth) (tenth)
The numbers which are used to say
how many of something there are, such as Get it right!
one (1), two (2), three (3), four (4), ... are Forth 7 Fourth 3
called cardinal numbers. Nineth 7 Ninth 3
