Objective: To understand and compare the weight and height of children

Materials required: Weighing machine, measuring tape, a sheet of paper, geometry box
               procedure:

Š The teacher divides the class into groups of five.

Š Each group finds their weights in kg and g using the weighing machine.
Š The groups then fill in the chart.

                                                                     Weight Height

                           5.

Š The groups then use the measuring tape to find the heights of each one and fill in
                      the chart.

Š Each group writes who the tallest and shortest, and the heaviest and lightest are
                      in their groups.
                     Š Groups compare their sheets.
Š The teacher explains how keeping track of our height and weight helps us learn
about healthy habits and growing well.
