Objective: To reinforce the concept of polygons using a geoboard
Materials Required: Geoboard (Geoboard is a mathematical tool which is used to

understand the shapes or figures), rubber bands, dot paper.
Procedure:

� Students will work in groups.

� Give them rubber bands and let them form polygons themselves.

� Each group will try to form polygons having different sides (as shown).

� Call on each group to show their boards and ask them questions about the

properties of the polygons.

� If a group can correctly describe the shape and its properties, give them one

point.

� Play this game for many rounds and try to cover the properties of basic 2D
shapes.
